How nice is it to have decent signings in the bag a week or so after the season ends!

Makes stark contrast to the days of the infamous Abbott "radar" and sifting through the assorted rejected dog shit left at the end of every transfer window....and one at least is a player we REALLY need too!

Now if we could just find a competent boardroom....

Wonder how much Hallam Hope is on if he's out of our pay structure but this lad isn't.

Pay increases depending on quality of player. We may be willing to pay top dollar for a lad like this rather than Hallam.

Didn't Greg used to claim that we couldn't sign players early because they would be more expensive then ? Absolute BS

Does seem slightly odd, to be fair to the Northampton fans, to live in Bolton, say you want to be nearer to your family and then sign for Carlisle a division lower. Still hardly on his doorstep, even though a touch better than Northampton.

The sat nav he got from Tom Taiwo and Cleveland Taylor no doubt helped him make his decision as did his addiction to winning promotion from league 2!

Wants a trophy case full of promotion medals rather than 'I finished mid table in League 1' medals.

Good point. You never know though maybe he's getting far too much off Bury.

You'd think so. Can't see us taking him unless Bury stump up part of his wages just to get him off their books.

"Adams, who also helped Bury to promotion in the 2014/15 season, described the move as a "no-brainer" once he had spoken to Curle."

But what happened to "players talk to each other" and word will have gotten around about Curle's abrasive personality? I was expecting all those stories that Griffiths went public with would have put off any decent signings?

In fairness though, and I'll put it on flashing red lights that I'm not taking either side, he's hardly likely to come out and say that he signed for the club even though he thinks the manager is a prick.

All football club articles from the top of the game to the bottom have a positive spin put on them for extremely obvious reasons.

The phrase 'highly-rated' is the most annoying.

Real quote said I'd been on messageboard and these two blokes CCU and Bluebry both reckon Curle hasn't a clue but he offered me a extra £50 a week so I thought sod it.

I thought this negative message board was supposed to put off decent players from signing for us? I guess he must have connection issues with his internet... lucky for us that he can't see how nasty we are being to our benevolent owners.....

You just couldn't resist it 'Dancing' could you?
Not quite true actually, the figure was nearer £100 plus a document saying 'Keith Curle is God and he should be obeyed at all times and should be lick arsed wherever possible'. I believe there are quite a few on this message board who have signed that document.
