Probably 5 players on that bench that would walk into our present team.

I was at that game very enjoyable. Not sure how we fared as regards data though which is what counts.

I was also at that game. Curle put Etuhu on the right to pretty much do a man mark job on their danger man Cooper. He also played Lambe and Shaun Miller up front with the plan to turn Raynes towards his goal as often as possible. They both ran him ragged. Curle got everything right that day.

That wasn’t a great team at all, and curle wasn’t a great manager, let’s not kid ourselves. But I reckon he’d pick up more points with this current group of players than Pressley can.

In those days I honestly thought we could beat anyone on our day. Wish we had that team now despite the fact there all a couple of years older they would still do a better job. And look at how much experience that team has and how many leaders compared to now.

What we have now is an inexperienced group of young players brought in to fulfill SPs ideology of this "high pressing" style....meaning he wanted lads who can run about like Mo Farrah. The only problem is at this level combining skill at a high tempo is difficult for them. Passes are going astray and players are out of position....a lot.
Oh for some of the old players many of who we slagged off on here
