Come in off the A580, and use one of the car parks before you reach the Ground. No chance close to Goodison!

There’s some kind of sports centre on the right hand side does a decent one, and its 10/15min walk from there.

I went to Goodison a while back to watch a match. A scouse lad said, 'Can I mind your car for you mister?'
I said, 'No! And for your information, there's a Rottweiler in the back.' The lad said: 'Puts out fires, does he?'

I have parked at Walton sports centre once before now I recall but limited places. Looks like morecambe is the best option.

As much as I try and defend scousers on here sometimes, I wouldn't chance parking my car in any of the residential streets near the ground. Plenty of resident permit holders anyway. I know a few who park in Stanley Park and have never had any issues.

Depends what you're after really...you could do the M58 and dump the car at Maghull North (j1) or near Aintree station (go to the end and then up the A59), quarter of an hour train to sandhills, soccerbus to right outside the ground. The M58 is usually pretty quiet, and trains are every 15 mins. Couple of pubs and places to eat near both stations, depends how much of a rush you're in really.
Street parking is very hit and miss, and car parks are getting steadily more expensive every season.
Think they still have a fan zone type affair behind the park end - the beer is as disappointing as you'd imagine but they had decent coffee last time I was there (so I was informed anyway).

Been a few times before and always ate and drank in the streets just down from the ground. Not the nicest areas but ok on matchday. Not in any rush and don't mind a bit of a walk. Normally walk from the centre but just fancied getting closer. I thought there would be hundreds of little waste ground style lots for a fiver a car or something but it doesn't seem so. I'll have a look around but the train in could be an option cheers.

+1 for Maghull or Aintree to park the car then train to Sandhills.
Leaving a motor anywhere around Kirkdale/Walton area is asking for trouble unless it's a Y-Reg Skoda with rust, even then I'd be worried.

If you leave it at Aintree you have the whole Racecourse industrial estate to eat at, Nandos, Dirty Ronald's, Frankie & Benny's, M&S if you just want a nice sarnie and you're unlikely to have any issues with the local "wildlife"

It's better to be silent and assumed a fool than to speak and remove all doubt
