Very harsh to judge him on 9 minutes of substitute appearances.

Even I would give him longer than that! :D

I fear for the future of Huddersfield’s academy if that's the standard of player they’re producing. You probably have to go back to the days of Beckford and Freestone to find another loanee in a United shirt as disinterested in making any kind of effort for the cause. You can sometimes get away with it when you’re blessed with some natural talent but he’s got a long, long way to go to prove that. By the end of the coverage, you were surely pleading with the team not to pass him the ball - I know I was!

I agree Nobby. At least another minute needed.

My god folk judging a player on a bit part performance
Players need to play week in week out to reach potential
He wasn't reading balls probably because he hadn't played in the team before and match sharpness needs built up by playing
I wouldn't judge a player so soon although Walker did look useful but will have to see how this lay off affects him
Dickinson is the player I can't wait to see

I thought he did alright. IMO him, Patrick, Toure and Kayode are all too similar. We need a proper goal poacher to go with 1 or maybe 2 of these players. Getting one in in January might be key to getting promoted.

It’s good that he can play out wide or down the middle. It gives us much needed cover given the injuries we have in the forward areas.

Based on yesterday, admittedly a small sample, doesn’t look as ready as Ethan Walker did...

To me looked bereft of pace for supposedly as direct and quick winger as described by himself and Beech. Yesterday was a chance for him to express himself against less talented opposition but didn't really run at people, not helped by the fact that Anderton never really gets round his man on the overlap. Wingers do my head in, its simple just get to the byline where you'll either get a corner or a dangerous cross in, Patrick did it yesterday.

Even in the amateur game I love it when a winger slows down the ball and tries to do flicks and tricks so easy to defend against . I hate it when a winger runs at me in a direct manner.

Just looks at our goals this season , they have so often came from a player putting there head down and running at the man.

Its looks good to do all the flicks and tricks but at the end of the day it's ineffective , C.Ronaldo is a fine example you watch his early days at Man u and then you watch him become more and more detect and his goal tally increases as well . You watch Messi he doesn't use fancy tricks he just uses close control and runs at people.

We also need to take into consideration some of the lads will have hardly kicked a ball in competitive action since the start of Covid last March

Obiero, Dewhurst, Hunt, Armer and Furman will all be miles behind the rest of the team in match fitness so difficult to judge at this stage. Armer just back from injury as well!

Lets give him 2/3 games to see where he is at

That was a tough game yesterday and they were well up for it, he's 19 playing against 30 year old men!!

Connor Malley hasn't a chance at all to show whether he's any good or not up to now.
Makes you wonder whether it was worth bringing him in.
Some of our young players might have been worth a shot instead. Swailes was really impressive in the youth FA cup game.
