just reading an article on bbc site where a player describes the dressing room as non-achievers, reminds me of the state our club was in when Curle took over!

Thought that by your initial post that they were going under....

Say for example the only defeat of the Carlisle United season so far was to Leyton Orient and then they go bust, even if the league is adjusted to show zero defeats to us then are we actually technically unbeaten and invincibles as the league table doesn't lie etc.
Just asking like :D

I thought Orient were one of the better sides we've faced this season, and on the flipside Plymouth were terrible. Shows how misleading it can be.

Good old ground Leyton Orient (was on some old Michael Caine film) and usually a decent lower league team but they tend to beat us so I have never liked them.

Wasn't it Leyton Orient that we pipped to the post to reach the first division?

Yea it was, they had to beat Villa in a rearranged game after the final Saturday of the season, they could only manage a draw which sent us up, happy days. :)

Good read that, just shows how good our scouting network must be to bring in who we have and meet our budget.

All you can ask from a manager and his staff when they come in is to improve on what we already had and so far they have delivered.

Yet another club whos fans know they would have no difficulty in running the club in a netter way than its has been. And from reading that it wouldnt exactly be very difficult would it ?

BH should be made to account for himself in all that mess though but i.m surprised to see he sold for as little as 4 million.

Another club that will be looking to steal Keith from us

Joking aside, they could do far worse than KC, would think that he had higher aspirations that Leyton Orient though and that club needs a total makeover - not as bad as what he inherited at Carlisle United however.

Spent a fortune Orient and made some bold decisions like Nolan, who to be fair I thought would do miles better as he was a player manager with some pedigree.

When you are shelling the cash like they were you would look at someone who has done it before, someone like Simon Grayson, yes he is in a job but Steve Evans wasn't and he is another one who you would trust to sign decent players and give you a decent pop at going up.

But owners like these are more interested in getting "yes " men than the best available manager.

Bout time the LMA started blacklisting owners like these. I couldnt see KC agreeing to work for people like these in a million years.

How the hell can someone whos had all his assets seized by a country's government continue to meet the requirements of the fit and proper persons test of whatever theyre calling it this week.

It's sad seeing the likes of Orient struggling and there is an understanding there that it could be us that were facing oblivion and we wouldn't have a lot of control over it.
If we want to give the likes of Crawley, Morecambe and Accrington a chance in the league, it seems inevitable that bigger clubs will hit the buffers. Sad when this happens, but it's got to be someone who makes way for Forest Green et al.

I would be quite happy for them/Notts County and Newport to go down to be honest, Cheltenham may have a bit of a bad pitch at present but it is a far cry from Newports perma crap pitch that is probably best binned into the Conference and at least Cheltenham don't piss about with kick off times, even if they are holding a race meet.

Leyton Orient and Notts County however are large clubs with money men waiting in the wings to take them on for a pittance when/if they go tits up and are non league or bust in our league and therefore are more of a threat to Carlisle United if they stay in the league.
