Mullen gets people’s backs up with his views but there’s no need to call someone that.

To be fair he’s got a decent point about Murray’s coaching record.

As cocaine admits, I keep telling him “I told you so” so take from that what you will.

There’s no way on Earth we will finish anywhere near 10th, in a good way, with this partnership and you can hold me to that.

If we come 10th or above next season will you permanently retire from this forum?

I probably will in shock?

Do you think we will finish higher than 10th then pie?

It's entirely possible - yes it looks poor at the moment and the noises about budget aren't positive but we've appointed a manager with a better track record than our last one. Let's not forget the amount of money Curle wasted on high wage players who couldn't nail down starting places so the budget reduction (with some decent recruitment) might not be that relevant so long as we don't spunk it on bench warmers this year. Chuck in it's a piss weak league and anything could happen.

Ah, is it that bloke.

I remember that turning a bit dodgy when he was asking fans to send him 'selfies' - think someone said it could have turned into a John'll Fix It scenario.

Credit where it's due though eh, man makes a good point!

I would disagree on that, Mullen hasn't even come close to shanning himself like that John bloke that gave him the abuse, pot calling the kettle black arse springs to mind.

One of the most self centred embarrassing things I had ever seen someone do ever regarding Carlisle United.

Unless Mullen gives it the rallying call to get 7/8k fans in on the first home game next season then that other gadgey keeps the record.

"Mongo is a fictional planet where the comic strip (and later movie serials) of Flash Gordon takes place. Mongo was created by the comics artist Alex Raymond in 1934, with the assistance of Raymond's ghostwriter Don Moore.[2] Mongo is depicted as being ruled by a usurper named Ming the Merciless, who is shown as ruling Mongo in a harsh and oppressive manner."

I had no idea Mullen was actually Ming The Merciless or even Flash Gordon himself :)

I’m pretty sure cocaine didn’t mean the land of Flash Gordon.

Yet I’ll quite happily go to the planet Mongo can’t be any worse than here.

Kudos to you Mullen, you get a hard press on here at times, much like PaddockRanger for having an opinion that doesn't follow the herd mentality. I admit to having a gentle poke at you in some of my elongated story posts, but I think you realise it comes from a good place. You always respond in a measured fashion as does PR, without resorting to personal insults or threats, good for you.

So... Even if what you say is total and utter bollocks, it's an opinion you hold and you're entitled to air it. For all the stick PR get's, if you had some time to kill and some alcohol going to waste, there would be few on this board more interesting to kill it with. Sometimes it's like a school playground in here, all waiting for CCU to shout “Right, pick sides!” I guarantee you would be playing in skins, alongside Shaldon, SilentOne, NorthernSoul, munchy and Marko, the latter being marked out the game by a very enthusiastic Alan and Laffy man marking job. Laffy will have bunged the ref to turn a blind eye whilst Alan gets stuck in, using his massive personal wealth (He doesn't go around talking about, it like most achievers.) which at the last count was estimated to be worth more than the combined total wealth of the BOD. :)

Sounds like more in the building already, unless he's referring to the likes of Edmonson and Skelton.

That story about him forgetting his shirt with Wadsworth is a good one!

That's the bit I picked up on as well, also said

“The amount of experience we have as a group of coaching staff can only bode well for Carlisle. We’re all ex-footballers and we played the game how it should have been played. We just wanted to win at all costs.

So assume the names are going to be a slow release to ensure they have something to put out

Yeah, could be possible we've a couple more staff just waiting to sign their employment contracts, but have verbally agreed to join us, who have already begun tapping up players etc.

Great appointment IMO. Knows the club and local area well, has experience working as a coach at first team and academy level, has worked with John Sheridan before and most importantly played with Darren Edmondson before so will probably build a bridge between the academy and first team especially as he's worked in that kind of capacity previously.

Haha - very good Ganny :D

I was once meant to play at Brunton Park but my missus had a child imminent so missed the opportunity, we won comfortably anyhow without my input :)

It's all about priorities munchy, I'm sure you made a decent fight of it before she got her way. The important thing is that they were able to find someone to fill your regular spot on the bench.
