I understand waiting for the official minutes but surely we can have a “messageboard rep” take on things prior.

You can’t complain about the trust not informing their members if you don’t do the same and sing to the clubs tune and way of doing things.

Any questions asked to Holdsworth probably were not answered fully and tailed off into a meandering half an hour discussing the promotion party back when Elton John released Nikita.

I understand that the whole meeting needs to be drafted and everything but as I said, most of that will be time wasting shit that nobody cares about.

Surely just merely answering the questions posed by boarders gives us what we want to hear and all the boring stuff can come later.

Mullen is quite right in the aspect that it is yesterdays news anyhow so no need surely to pander to when the club say that you can respond?

The notes are taken on the night, then written up (By no means a short task!). They’re then distributed as a draft, so any mistakes etc can be edited. They’re then released as final.

There’s an agreement not to comment until this is completed, and as long as everybody adheres, it works (One Group did break ranks recently on an item, and complaints were made and dealt with).

We don’t have to spend 2/3hrs of our own time to attend on your behalf you know!

Poor excuse pal as you manage to post enough times on here a day about other issues but answering one or two posts on the questions thread is below your remit - you are starting to sound like the trust themselves and not wanting to piss anybody off!!

Getting into bed with them is not the way forward.

Procedures are merely there as a guideline in cases like this, breaking them is hardly going to get you sent to prison, and if they do not like they way you 'inform' the board that you moderate then tell them to go and [censored] themselves basically.

You could come on here and say such and such attended the meeting on behalf of the messageboard.

It started at such and such a time and finished at such and such. Items on the agenda were such and such and we are bound be secrecy to keep quiet until such and such a date when the official minutes are released.

At the minute I agree with Munchy that you’ve gone into bed with them and scared of upsetting anyone.

Can’t see the problem previous meetings the mb reps have updated us as and when they have been allowed. By releasing information early they risk losing their invite to the meetings and then no say or involvement in how the group progresses. If they were getting the info and holding onto it a couple days while the other groups released it I could see an issue but their not.

There seems to be a misunderstanding here.

We do not give a rats cock about the crap that you claim takes three hours to type up.

We just wanted the answers to the questions that people asked, you can come up with the essay that nobody cares about later - nobody cared about the other stuff greatly or they would have asked those pertinent questions already.

In this day of social media where we can get stuff out really quickly then ten minutes could have answered the questions asked on this forum but instead it sounds like a mix of we are too busy for this shit/we dare not upset anyone in case they say that they say that their statement was misconstrued and we need it signed off.

Grow a pair and tell them your statement of intent and not what they want to 'bully' you into.

Bit harsh on CCU and Mouldy I guess as the other two are very vocal on the opinion front on here but absent all of the time at these forums.

Two are bigger gobshites than Holdsworth himself and that is saying something - why sign up to be a moderator and get involved in this sort of thing and be half arsed then boys?

If you are not representing those wank ers then break rank of their shackles if they are restraining you or become another freeloading SP.

Oh no - is this real punishment as in no crispy cakes, Carlisle United prison or real prison?!?

Taking this too far on to what they can do to you if you 'dare' to disobey them, pathetic really.

As I said if they do not like the way you demand to run the messageboard then you cannot deal with them, not hard really - your terms or get stuffed and explain the reasons on here why they failed to meet your demands or a compromise.

Behaving like the trusts bitch is merely pathetic.

Said at the start getting involved with the cu.nts was a mistake this board should be doing everything it can to undermine the current regime to speed up their departure not get into bed with them and their cosy little meetings with their pathetic rules.

It was put forward at the time that attending might put people in the loop with a view to being able to take some direct action but its clearly nothing more than joining in the talking shop

I really don't get this. If you join a group, any group, then by the act of joining you abide by the rules of that group, or you leave, or are asked to leave.

In this case one of the rules appears to be no one attending releases matters discussed until the official minutes are published on the Friday.

So either you agree to those rules or you leave.

Some folk may only be interested in the question they asked, which is fine but if that's the case why not ask it direct rather than through a group meeting?

I've found in most meetings there are things that are reported that interest me, that I wouldn't have known about except for the minutes.

I don't really understand why twine at the mods, who make the effort to go and ask our questions.

Bumble. I think the main problem people hae with the amount of time taken to produce the minutes is one of mistrust eminating around anything happening at CUFC.
It is almost as if the content is having to be approved by a higher power and anything they don"t like will be censored.

Or the person typing up the minutes also works full time?

Meeting is Monday eve usually, so likely types them up on Tuesday eve, sends them out Weds morn to give all a chance to check and request any adjustments (We’ve done just this last night. Nothing major but important it’s correct). These changes are then done Thurs eve so they can be distributed on the Friday morning for release later that day.

The Club have nothing to do with this process, their only input would be to clarify any of their points from the initial draft if they felt they weren’t recorded fully. For the record, the note taker does a pretty good job...

Surely if the club are requesting all questions in advance so they can respond, then the minutes, other than a few comments made in response to the answers with followup points, must be 60% (at least) done before the meeting actually happens?

The Club don’t request them in advance, we made the decision to send them over before the meeting.

Reason being, we had roughly 35 questions for all kinds of folk this time (Club, CUSAT, CUOSC). If we took them to the Meetings and asked on the night, we’d be there until the early hours. By sending them over a day or two before, we’re able to get answers straight away and the Meeting doesn’t get bogged down.

The note taker can’t possibly know the answers prior to them being answered, unless any were specifically for him.

It is not unreasonable for a meeting held on a Tuesday to distribute the final copy of the minutes on a Friday, so stop whinging.

However, if it had been 100% clear to everyone that this is the way it works, then no one would be.

As has already been explained to you, a 2.5 hour journey twice is 5 hours + a 3 hour meeting = 8 hours. Coupled with the fact we all work full time anyway... Add in losing a day's pay (£140) and a tank of fuel (£40).

Mouldy and CCU are more than happy to attend not just on my behalf, but on the entire messageboard's behalf.

If you're that desperate to have your point of view put across with an immediate response why don't you attend one of the annual fans forums? I refuse to accept work commitments as an excuse if its not a good enough excuse for me...

Again, you are missing the point Mike.

I could wait forever to read anyones questions being answered, just the fact that it happened on Monday and they are 'telling' you not to release any info till Friday unless it is misconstrued but in reality if anything is misunderstood or anything then it is hardly going to end up in court is it?

It is old news that they have demanded that you wait to release till they have doctored it sounds more appropriate.

Pandering to the biggest waste of space in the whole history of the word trust doesn't sit well with me, Barry is right, waste of time unless you get your demands spelt out to them.

Why the hell are folk getting their knickers in a twist over having to wait a few days for answers to a few questions? Christ almighty, it’s pathetic. It appears that some have got that used to complaining about anything and everything regarding the club that they no longer realise they’re doing it.

As cufcmike says, if it really matters that much to you why not get your arse down to one of the forums and ask your questions there? At least you’ll get an instant response and be able to query the answers given. That’s if you’ve got the balls to! Too many keyboard whingers on here I’m afraid.

You aren't getting it either Frank.

Sod the questions, it is the manner of which they are being dictated to being 'allowed' to release them.

Once you have the info then just fire away in my book and post the full boring crap later, simples.

Something that happened on Monday should be on here Tuesday at the very latest, demand it - don't merely 'request' it.

Who’s being dictated to? The mods have gone along to the meeting and the chair of the meeting will probably have told them how things are done, the mods were most probably perfectly happy with that.

What does it matter to you whether it’s the Tuesday or the Friday you get to read the answers to questions?

Why don’t you go to forums and ask questions yourself to get immediate answers if you’re that bothered?

You seem to be deaf Frank or cannot read.

I don't give a [censored] when the answer to the questions are released, being dictated to by no-marks is concerning though.

Like I asked previously, who’s being dictated to? What happens if the mods were perfectly happy with the arrangement that CUSG has in place for releasing the notes of the meeting? Most rationale folk on here don’t seem to have a problem with it. I know if I was the representative of a group I’d be more than happy for someone else to type up the minutes of the meeting on my behalf.

I’ve just wet myself, too excited about these minutes tomorrow.

I understand you entirely Munchy what you’re saying. It’s not about the answers it’s about how there released under strict MI5 protocol.

At least we’re not Stockport
