Reading their board the three they don't want to go are Kelleher, Archibald and Vassell. Archibald is a right-winger which is exactly what we need. Might be worth a sneaky sounding out, from Glasgow

What has happened to Elliott? On Tuesday we had Thomas as the only wide player, Bridge played wide but not his natural position. If McKirdy goes wouldn't Elliott be a better option than Bridge?

Ah - Elliot. Who David Holdsworth described as a "Rolls Royce of a player". Who hasn't made the matchday squad in how long?
wouldn't Elliott be a better option than Bridge? Er - no

Elliott. He has been found out. Poor player. Not good enough.

Certainly not going to say Elliott is good but we have 4 or 5 players now vying for a centre mid-berth where we have 2 for the wide positions. And McKirdy is a wee bit fatigued, poor lamb. Who is going to play there even if it's coming on in the 75th minute? Elliot and Iredale can cover left and right, but not well.

Bridge played a lovely ball for the first goal but that was about it, did his Scarlet Pimpernel after that. Him, Scougall and Olaf are all central players.

If Archibald has had his contract cancelled could be a good deal. Free-agent, we don't even have to sign him today, do we?

Another seven points taken off:

What a sham it was the FL who insisted the game against Plymouth be called off not the club

MTFC offered them 3 different ways around the issue the league wouldn't allow them to use any of them.

It's exactly the same issue that saw Workington have to call off a game yet there's no sign of them getting deducted 10 points.

The FL clearly have it in for them just because the owner won't allow himself to be pushed around

I would think its mainly because they are not paying staff on time.

If the season is deemed to be over surely any points deduction made against Macclesfield must now be applied to next season.

It does look like they are realy trying to get rid of Macclesfield. That may be irrelevant as I wonder if Macc can survive anyway

I agree with the Macc player that their average points should be on their total points won before the deductions.

FL seem to be bending over backwards to keep Stevenage up.

The suspended 2pts was activated the other day but they’ll stay up as their PPG will still better Stevenage.

Wonder how many times this will happen next Season?

The EFL definitely got it in for Macclesfield. So we've got to suffer another season of Stevenage

Shame for the Macc players even with not been paid they did the job on the field. Stevenage deserved to go down their record couldn't have been much worse.

The EFL were pleased to get rid of Macclesfield because of the way the club was run and their inability to follow the rules everybody else had to conform to. Sunday League set up by all accounts since their owner lost the plot..

I've no sympathy really although I'm not a fan of Stevenage either. :o

There’s no club anymore, so yes.

Wasn’t Covid this one, they were in bother before that - Covid will put others to the wall though, today will set a precedent that HMRC won’t play the long game anymore - don’t pay there’ll wind you up.

Legally it's not the absolute end of the road, a winding up order can be reversed or set aside within a certain time limit if you can pay up, but realistically if that was going to happen you wouldn't have let it get to this stage.
