Can quoting more than two posts at the same time (multiquoting) also be banned? Makes some threads unreadable. [censored] me off so much.

Wouldn’t mind the swear filter being removed as well to be honest. This isn’t preschool!

At the minute on mobile when you select to go to the newest unread post you get a preview of the last post made, any chance you could remove that?

Update:

Migration of the site to new control will be happening the first week of June. Site will be unavailable for a few hours while this happens as stuff is moved about but we’ll give advance warning the day before,

You’ll see a small change to layout, but stuff like Polls, Pictures etc will all be easier to use. Also looking into the multi-quote thing!

Nailed on something big will occur whilst the downtime happens!

The one thing everyone wants to know is are you bringing the edit button back?

If posters misuse this feature it should be a yellow and red card system.

Even football topics now end up with slurs against people about their political stances.

I know exactly what you mean. I've been doing that for a while. In fact, the stupid, irrelevent, childish spats on soooo many threads have led me to rarely look at the board these days.

Shame because it used to be my first port of call when logging on.

Yes well there is that too, for obvious reasons, however there have been one or two fairly 'lively' debates going on recently which seem to have ended rather abruptly.
Some may say for the better of course, but it must help the grey matter to have something to discuss in footy's absence.

It is really a big problem that it doesn't remember what you have read previously and that the starting point is back at the beginning of each thread.
I really can't be bothered having to find the place where I was when previously it would just take me there.

On the old board, it was possible to jump straight to the last unread post on any given thread. Is that possible on the new board?

The only things wrong with old type was the lack of an edit button and too many folk couldn't post pictures. Add the features list time/date of posts etc and it will improve. it feels like we've been relegated to the conference at the moment.

That does seem a bit like complicating it unnecessarily, although I suppose it's straightforward enough to get used to.

What was the reason for the update/change in the first place? Was there a specific reason we couldn't stick with the old layout? Apologies if it seems a bit blunt but this just feels like change for the sake of change, something I'm not really a fan of. My philosophy is if it isn't broke, don't fix it.

I agree with silent one, it''s difficult to tell where one post ends and another begins that very faint grey shading that only shows up when I bend my head to look straight at my crappy monitor - the guardian uses the same shade for maps and it makes them unusable which makes it a big prob for me and silent

Can you stick all the post info: name - forum - post number - quote button all on one horizontal line rather than splitting it over two at either end of a post

When I click on a topic I want the latest page to open not the first one....

Should now only be able to reply using either the response box or clicking the quote on another post - that comment box on each post should’ve disappeared...

Back end (Which you lot don’t see) wasn’t the best. New one is much easier for us.

Also makes things like Polls and Pictures easier hopefully, they’d hit a bit of block under the old Kunena system.

The support for the new style, EasyDiscuss, is also miles better.

I know it's been commented on previously, but is there an easier way to see the last post rather than have to scroll to, for example, page 10 or 20, depending on the topic, then to the bottom of the page?

Also seeing the original post at the top of each page makes you think you are still on page 1, even though your'e on page 20.

Could we maybe have the reply button after every post, as it is not always (i.e. rarely) the last post that I'm replying to.

What about having time and date of posts, rather than '11 minutes ago' / '2 Days ago'. It just makes the sequence of the posts more easy to follow.

As has been said, all these things are being looked into...
