A great game against a good side that were just pushed aside in the second half. For me Bennett MoM but Tanner and Kayode close seconds. Guy not as influential as usual.

Brilliant all round performance, completely dominant from start to finish. Tanner absolutely outstanding at right back, Alessandra, Guy and Riley everywhere.
Bennett looks solid and compliments Hayden well, and the front two Kayode and Toure were putting the fear of god into Crawleys back line every time they got the ball, wonderful stuff.
Long time since I've seen a Carlisle side this much together, this much working for each other, so solid, scrapping for every ball, hopefully we can stay fit, and you just never know.
Gonna have a few beers tonight. :D :D :D

Great to see Kayode getting some recognition and reward for his efforts, today just showed what we missed last weekend.

Rotherham's gaffer Paul Warne commented on him a couple of days ago, they're definitely tracking his progress and weighing up what the best option will be come January, which could include a loan out to a League One club (if it's Swindon, I will do my f'kin nut). Managing to hold on to him will be key to the point of hoping Warne keeps his job in a tough division. Last thing we want is a new manager at the Millers recalling Kayode to take a closer look at him.

PP

Farman -1 - Should have caught inswinging free kick instead of punching 30 yards clear.

Tanner - 3 - Should have taken ball to corner flag instead of passing to Kayode.

Hayden - 4 - Mcdonald a better option.

Bennett - 5 -Poor touch for goal, should have scored with first attempt.

Anderton - 3- Lack of motivation for captain, with a better captain would have won 6-0.

Riley - 8 MOM.

Guy - 3 Headless chicken.

Mellish - 0 - Couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo.

Kayode - 4 - Lucky miss hit for goal.

Allesandra - 1 - Pub player.

Tourre - 4 - Liability with his dribbling, conceding possesion to much.

Both Kayode and Toure are excellent at tackling back

Thought Kayode was here on a season long loan. If there is even a slight chance of losing him in Jan transfer window I hope the club cover themselves by bringing in another striker.

Season-long but a ‘recall clause’ in Jan if Rotherham wish:

Rotherham have form for recalling players in January. Did it to us with Yates and did it to Swindon with Yates although Swindon did manage to get him back after a few weeks.

I hope we are prepared, whether that be to convince them to let him stay or to get a replacement lined up.

I only went back to bed for an hour. It's been a day to take advantage of the weather and do a ton of yard work, even put a few Christmas lights up.

So ratings...

Farman - 7 - Didn't have a save to make and wasn't put under any real pressure but didn't do anything wrong and his distribution was excellent.

Tanner - 8 - Arguably our most improved player since August. Dominated our right flank. If he fills out a bit physically has massive potential, but his pace and use of the ball were top class today.

Anderton - 7 - Much improved from recent weeks, defended and overlapped to good effect. Still needs a touch more composure on the ball, but more like his old self.

Hayden - 8 - His goal summed his performance up, won the ball and then used it intelligently before finishing with a bit of quality.

Bennett - 9 - His calmness and assurance radiated through the entire team. McDonald's probably been my player of the season so far, but I'm not sure he can get back in the team after the way our central defenders bossed some extremely capable tier four strikers today. The first goal was massively important this afternoon, given the opportunities we'd missed in the first half, to not be leading at half time would've been a psychological point against us. On this performance we need to tie him down to longer contract as soon as possible.

Guy - 7 - A blond Richard Prokas? To be fair he can also take a decent corner, which Prokas couldn't. Protected our back four excellently.

Riley - 7 - Had his passing boots back on today and some of his ball winning and passing was fantastic.

Mellish - 7 - Without his trademark goal today but positionally it's the best game he's played for us. Less concerned with trying to be Gary Lineker and more concerned with asserting himself in the middle of the pitch and thinking about where he needed to be in relation to our other midfielders. I'd prefer it if he didn't score again this season and played with this composure and intelligence (rather than go kamikaze) every week, we'd look a better side for it.

Alessandra - 6 - Involved more today but still not sharp enough around the box. Just needs the extra touch too many or the extra second too long. I'd prefer to use him as a substitute when the opposition has tired legs, he'd probably be more influential.

Kayode - 7 - Bugger me, what's this? A centre-forward in a blue shirt making a run across the near post and scoring a goal? That hasn't happened since Jerry Yates returned to Rotherham. Great nuisance value today, variety with his throw-ins and an above average display. Full credit to him for his reaction to Beech at full time.

Toure - 7 - At times unplayable, at times beyond frustrating, but Crawley were bagging themselves every time he got on the ball which tells you everything you need to know. Can be utterly devastating when he has the ball at his feet and you still think there's much more to come from him.

Special mention to Patrick's run which forced the red card.

Everyone needs to take credit for an excellent away performance, players, coaching staff, manager, director of football - pats on the back all round.

Crawley were a half decent side at our level. And we bossed them. Barely gave them a sniff. We were so well organized and the team worked so hard for the ball and for each other. Really good team to watch.

Farman - 8 - Not a lot to do but did it all well. Goal kicks put us instantly on the attack.

Tanner - 9 - the TAA of League 2...? Tackles well, good positionally, gets forward excellently. The run, footwork and cross for the goal was first rate.

Anderton - 7 - He is about a 7/10 most weeks. Never going to set the world alight but totally solid and dependable. Also got forward well a couple of times yesterday.

Hayden and Bennett - 9 - both still emptying their pockets of car keys, wallets, and Crawley’s forwards. Both better than League 2. Hoping Bennett likes it here and stays for the season, and then we get promoted and he stays for another. Class act.

Guy - 9 - Everywhere. Great in the tackle. Aggressive in the air. Good passer. Great corners.

Mellish - 8 - Didn't score but probably his best game. Did so much work stopping them from playing then passed it simply.

Riley - 7 - Like Anderton, never going to do astonishing things that we all rave about, but does lots of simple things very well.

Touré - 8.5 - Teams are kak scared of him. And his work rate is extraordinary for a flair player. Extra .5 for the hilarious attempt at running when substituted!

Alessandra - 7 - Does he contribute massively to the performance - possibly not. Would we miss him if he wasn’t in the team - very probably.

Kayode - 9 - Thank goodness he wasn’t shoved out on the wing again. Proper centre forward. Tall with a good leap, fast and strong, got across the front post and took his goal very well. Long throw is a real bonus. When Rotherham come watching we need to play him at left back to make sure he stays!!

It's obvious Laffster, I tell it like it is, straight down the middle objectively.

If we play poorly - low marks. If we play well -high marks.

Not too difficult to understand for anyone who's not a stuttering simpleton.
