Yeah the employees work makes an application on your behalf, gets the 80% from HMRC to pay you.

The company can add to the 80% to top up but aren’t entitled too.

If you were laid off and the company refuses you can go through a Tribunel.

At least we’re not Stockport

Didn't he open a couple of similar dept stores about a year ago ? I think one might well have been in Swansea.

Bangladesh chaps reckon Day owes them £27 million.

There are Days department stores. He uses them to sell stuff from the various brands he owns like Jaeger. The Welsh one looks quite nice if not very exciting. They're shops for people who'd visit the Cathedral, rather than hip young things. I'd be surprised if he did anything different with a store in Carlisle.
