Totally agree, he does it three times a week on top of football, swimming lessons and playing with his mates so I cannot moan when he sits on his ipad as the poor lad is probably knackered :)

Phew! You're still talking about boxing. You had me worried there munchy!

Watched the Quigg / Valdez fight last night. Gutsy performance from Quigg and had Valdez hurt in the 5th and briefly in the 11th I think it was. Valdez was quality though and hurt Quigg badly with a body shot late on, especially given the clear weight advantage when they stepped in the ring. ( heard reports he was nearly a stone heavier than Valdez )

Quigg mentioned he fractured his foot 4 weeks ago

Good weight class with 4 brits in the top 10, would love to see Frampton / Santa Cruz fight for the 3rd time.

That was unbelievably dreadfully poor.
A full refund is surely necessary for anyone who paid to watch that non-event.
At least Curle brought on Nadesan and Hope after 70 minutes.
That was a sham.

Thoughts?

Fury had it for me despite the two knockdowns.

Sod knows how laddo scored it 115-111 to Wilder?!

Fury did that in only his third comeback fight, after two joke warm-ups. He’ll return fitter and stronger, though as Wilder showed, his right is devastating. Sod knows how Fury got up after the second one!

Roll on the rematch.

Very similar scoring to first Lewis v Holyfield fight. British judge both times scored it a draw. Think back then the judge said he had no idea he’d scored it a draw as he just handed his card in at the end of each round and didn’t tally it himself.

Offft - never saw that coming - respect though for taking his defeat gracefully and not making any excuses.

Throws wide open the heavyweight division now. I can see Fury scooping all belts within 18 months if he keeps his head straight.

Well the big shock happens again..what can you blame this on?
Lack of sharpness as it was 9 month between fights which in my view is a joke in itself. He is paid a fortune...it should be every 3 months he should be fighting.

Complacent or has he been exposed to having a glass chin?

This was a really humiliating defeat and i dont think he will recover from ..Other good fighters will be rubbing their hands to fight him. Usyk will probably step up pretty well as Holyfield did many years ago. This fella has some real punching power..The other 2 (Fury and Wilder) need to start thinking about him now,not Joshua.

What needs to change is Boxing hierachy to take control and order fights at the top level, not the tv companies running the show.

Joshua actually stunk the place out he was totally outgunned from the moment he put his opponent down every time this bloke connected he seemed to hurt AJ and he found a weakness in AJ bodyshotsi..a lot of other fighters will look at that fight and think they can beat him that really could be career defining

Disappointed to hear 'AJ' calling the great Lennox Lewis a clown, for voicing an opinion... Think AJ is pressing the self- destruct in the aftermath of the Ruiz defeat, in what was a poor performance. Thought he was going to be a great, especially after winning Olympic Gold as an amateur novice.
Just don't think he's learned too much thereafter, relying on sheer size to get by.
I don't think Eddie Hearn is helping... Rematch in Saudi Arabia WTF... Stay humble, I think...

I didn’t like Anthony Joshua FILMING himself handing over money to kids from his old estate so they could enjoy their weekend without any worries.

It’s a great gesture, but filming it shows ulterior motives.

I didn't see the undercard, but watched the main event. Good showing by Yarde, particularly given the location of the fight - thought he had him in Rnd 8.
Yarde claims he doesn't spar, which is crazy if he actually doesn't.

Deep cuts above the eye, February may be too soon for the Wilder rematch if they need surgery etc?

I would say there is almost no chance of the Wilder fight happening in February with those cuts. Looks like a minimum 6 month recovery job to me.

You’d back both Wilder and Fury to beat him on these last two fights?

Joshua would beat Fury - he's got both the power and the boxing ability. Whilst Fury can box, he's got pillows for hands.

Wilder's a toss up - [censored] can't box to save his life but you don't need to with that crazy right hand. Then again, he's never gone up against a combination boxer with real power of the calibre of Joshua.

Wilder was knackered after the 1st round..he was hurt then..his eyes were glazed..and looked absolutely shot defunct of any strategy...fair play he didnt give up but it was a masterclass of boxing from Fury, made Wilder step back all the way through the fight..a dominant and excellent performance.... but i still think Usyk is the biggest threat to the crown him and Joshua now have...he is a class boxer and if can take a few big punches off the big boys well it maybe interesting.

Sadly now the euphoria is over and its back to folk just claiming this and that on tv.. This is going to happen next..which it wont as the gutless governing bodies will not enforce stuff properly. Its been going on for years...high time this all changed and the best fight the best all the time and often.

The Super 6 series for Super middleweight titles a few years back was absolutely brilliant...nobody hid or ducked

Stupid amounts of money involved these days..its high time some fights go ahead at a compulsory time every 3 months..there is too much time between fights.

6"7 absolute specimen of physical condition and a 18 kilo costume has him knackered what a prick for wearing it in first place and then blaming it on defeat
