Watching paint dry would be a suitable alternative to Corrie and Eastenders.

The new season of Sunderland Till I Die is on netflix and is brilliant

Star of the show is the red-trousered marketing [censored] Charlie Methven - like a character from Bergerac or Howard's Way who ends up parachuted into a miners social club

I only recently discovered that, as well as being the star of Life is Beautiful, Roberto Benigni also directed the film. If you can get it with English subtitles, he was also excellent in Johnny Stecchino.

If being stuck inside is making you feel claustrophobic, try "Das Boot" - set on a German submarine during WW2.

A book that might help you feel that current life is not so bad after all could be "Room".

However, for pleasure (if you can cope with Italian subtitles) try "Cinema Paradiso".

Didn't realise there were further series's of Sunderland till I die - do they do a new one every season?

Saw the one where they got relegated from the Championship - that bumbling fool in the suit is how I image Holdsworth operating trying to get players in.

Yep new season just started a couple of weeks back cant believe how far behind they are with it you'd think they could say film in August and have the episode on screen a month later not 2 bloody years

Started watching this the other day, but I just can’t get away with films where the words don’t match the movement of the actors mouth. Once I notice it’s all I focus on.

Money Heist was the same. Irritating because I thought it could be decent.

In the first series of Sunderland doc,Maja and Asoro were the young lads coming in to hopefully get some goals.

Fast forward to the the start of second series,Asoro turns up late for pre season weigh in along with maja, then as Jack Ross enters medical room Asoro is quite rude,I know he had a move to Swansea lined up and was desperate to go.

These two should have stayed and as it says in the programme,be heroes.
Especially Maja, have a promotion on your CV and he was always going to get a move anyway. His agent had a big influence but don’t be fooled Alan he seen the pound signs too and from what I’ve been told by players and staff, was very difficult and bad for the dressing room.

I think Asoro was loaned out at Swansea.
