I can't remember the last time I had a drink but really fancy one of those fruit ciders tonight, and a snack that involves halloumi, any snack should involve halloumi.

I've just stuck forever in blue jeans by Neil diamond On the juke box and spent over a tenner on scampi fries to try and see the lasses knockers on the cardboard behind, only to discover she's got a bloody brasierre on and I don't even like scampi fries! I've done the responsible thing and stuck them on E bay with a starting bid of £15 a bag.

Just cleaning the bogs and somebody has shit in the sink again. I warned Melbourne about this last time. It might be ok in the Cranemakers but not in here.

Excuse me barman, I say barman, if I may distract you from your smartphone from placing your bets/updating your facebook page/playing candycrush/watching snapchat for a moment, could I have a pint of Corby Ale please? What, you've had nobody in here for 39 days and the pumps have never been cleaned? Well no wonder no fecker ever comes in here anymore. I'll have a large Glenmorangie with a splash of water since you have no ice, and a packet of XL crisps if they're still in date. Have I not seen you before somewhere? Weren't you working in a curry house up in Hawick and isn't that your old Cavalier parked outside? What, £6.80! Chilledsilly will be here in a mo, he's paying.

Now, the jukebox. To be quite honest this song is utter sh!te but the fine embroidery in these tunics just has to be admired.....

Well, down here there are loads of pubs doing lockins these last two weekends pretty sure it will have something to do with the stock delivered in the last week before shutdown just about reaching its best by dates around now.

The interesting thing is once it goes out of date you can film yourself pouring it down the drain send the footage to the brewery/pubco and they can reclaim the beer duty and vat back on it for you. And I .ve had more than one phone call this week from guys I put into pubs asking how you can refill a keg with whatever to pour it down the sink to claim the cashback. It's actually not that hard to do if you make yourself a tool from some of the bits there.ll be lying around in a cellar but it can be bloody lethal if you don't know what you're doing.
