FAO Mullen - Trust website was created by Kessler
Just had another idea, is there a mailing list option on the site? Was thinking you could add MailChimp wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/ Then you'd have a banner something like this ps.w.org/mailchimp-for-wp/assets/screenshot-4.png?rev=1643673 on the site people could subscribe to getting regular updates.

Fixed a new screen on my laptop last night so had a good look round the new site.

Few thoughts:

- When I googled ‘CUOSC’, top link initially goes to old site, then flicks to new one.
- Badge is just sat there on right hand side, but none by main title.
- Top border is black, bottom one blue, annoying.
- As already mentioned, a lot of white space but easily sorted moving the various boxes around!
- On the ‘Join’ page, the floodlight picture is massive. Can’t see any info unless you scroll down.

Good effort overall though, deffo an improvement on the outdated one. Well done Mullen for offering to help...

Cheers CCU.

The link might be a cache issue your side, I’m not seeing that issue.

I can change the colours easily - up to the trust though.

I’m going to sort the white space issue, works ok on mobiles - just a case of, as you say, moving the boxes around to fill it.

My own admission, I’m not a designer I’ve no eye really for arty stuff. But I can change it to what people want, so I’ll use your recommendations to change it.

At least we’re not Stockport

The google thing will fix itself eventually, just got to wait for their crawler to update. I like the new site, it's good to click on recent news and the latest article is dated from 2 days ago rather than several months (or longer) ago. Wordpress is an excellent choice, user friendly and easy to update.

It has always been my opinion that anyone who pro-actively assists should be welcome. And that assistance can be constructive criticism Kess. The Trust should be fully representative of the fan base, which I admit, it isn’t.
Anyway, that’s just my opinion as I’m no longer on the Board.

If you have something to offer Kess, get in touch and there’ll appreciate it.

Previously I think the trust had a bunker mentality whereby any Criticism was met with the “usual suspect” tag and that I/others had some sort of agenda (yes to make the club better)

To some extent the CUSG has helped with this as that group has seen the criticism and made some changes and seen praise.

The trust had to change otherwise they’d be finished.

More to do with self-preservation by the current arse holes it was pretty clear that if the Mods on here, for instance, had moved against them they would have been gone in 5 minutes. All they're doing is trying to look like they've changed when its all a load of complete bollocks.

Don't forget these are the very same people who have kept Jenkins and co in power for the last 5 years and for that if nothing else should be strung from the nearest lamp posts.

But the mods haven’t NS, mine and others plan to put in a vote of no confidence didn’t work. Your plan to get people involved didn’t work.

Therefore they can carry on, the way they are. I do think they had no choice to “appear more open” but guess we will never know!

There’s been ample opportunity to change the trust and no ones got onboard. So what can you do Barry?

I get the feeling some probably think the same about me now. I am quick to criticize and I do ask a lot of questions, but there is no hidden agenda, I simply want to make the club better. Nobody enjoys being criticized but if you can see that criticism as useful feedback on what you could do/could do better, you can build on it and improve. I'd be happy to help in whatever capacity I can :)

My plan didn't not work I never enacted it when it became clear that there weren't even 100 people on here willing to spend a tenner to sign up and get stuck into a fight to get rid of them.

We all know they'd have done whatever it took to cling to power like they did when the changed the rules on who can stand for election and on ejecting anybody who dared to keep the fans informed with what's really going on rather than the propaganda they churn out on a weekly basis.

These people are a complete and utter disgrace as human beings they've taken the piss out of their membership and the wider fanbase in general for the last five years how they've managed to cling on is beyond me but what's a bigger mystery to me is why 100 people off here won't invest a tenner to be rid of them once and for all ?

Apathy. Fans have this defeatist attitude where they wrongly think there's nothing they can do/nothing will change so why bother trying. It's like they expect that things will one day magically change if they just sit and wait for it. It frustrates me but I do sort of understand it. If you truly think nothing you do will change anything, then it's easy to give up.

I signed up that time hoping more people would, absolutely boiling now the thought I’ve swelled their coffers by a tenner. Bunch of useless tossers.

And sadly it doesn't work if it's just one person. Individually fans have no real influence. Collectively they have quite a lot.
