Is it worth going today? was created by nobbyblue
Not something I thought I'd ever say but for some reason I'm feeling very disillusioned.

We seem to be meandering to a slow death. I can't say I'm as excited by Beech as some on here. Ok we've had a couple of wins and strung a few passes together but it's been nowt startling.

That coupled with the general malaise around the club means its all very depressing. The talk of Mick Wadsworth and the players we had back then makes the present situation look even more bleak.

It's a long way back and it not going to happen any time soon by the look of it.

Stop being a drama queen nobby, what else you gonna do spend the afternoon in the Graham arms?

Mullen is a virgin.

We haven’t turned the full corner under Beech. He wasn’t going to turn us into the best team in the league over night after the mess Pressley left him. But what he has shown is he’s competent enough to recognise the big problems under Pressley that we were far too easy to score past, weak and easy to beat. He has improved that slightly and has steadied the ship. We should stay up easily this season which is the job Beech had to do short term. It’s a decent platform for hopefully a much better 20/21 season. This season will probably fade out into a boring nothing to play for last few weeks, but back in October November when we were losing 4 games in a row we’d have probably all accepted that.

Maybe some people thought that because Pressley came in and transformed us from promotion material into relegation candidates in a short time that a new manager could immediately come in and reverse that. I didn’t.

A blind man on a galloping horse could see that Pressley should have been given the mallet at the end of last season.

With the exception of a few old farts on here who can remember the heady days of our one flirtation with the top flight of English football most of you will have started supporting the Blues when we were in the lower levels and the odd couple of seasons in the Championship, with a few frantic relegation battles thrown in, one which we lost to the Conference. This was the product on sale to you, so what else did you expect?
Did you expect this to change just because you became a supporter? You knew what you were getting into from the off. If you wanted higher level football you could have made the short journey over to The Bar Codes or Blunderland.

I do wonder if some people on here buy a Ford Escort and expect it to magically turn into an Aston Martin. Or in other words you buy a ticket for United and then expect us to perform like the present Bin Dipper team.

Now before all you hot heads jump on me. I would love to see us playing regularly in a higher division, however I know that if I bought an old Escort and by bolting on a few bits it might make it go a bit faster, but at the end of the day it's still an Escort.

And I'm afraid that if you don't change the opinion of the hundreds/thousands of plastic Man U/Liverpool fans who frequent our pubs, then we are always going to be Escort.

If the Escort is abused and not looked after, with a rubbish owner it will be crap.
However if the Escort is properly serviced and looked after by owners that truly love it, then they will get the best out of it.

Well, my mind was made up with the floodgates being closed so no entry to car parks at the ground. And I don't want to be looking around for parking with the roadworks on Warwick Road. So another game missed because of the weather I have missed a few lately could it be I'm turning into a fair-weather fan ??

Am I right in thinking some people pay for a car park pass for the season? They'll be a bit pissed off. Crazy having a supporter's car park that is out of action most of the time.
