There are strong rumours that Knickerless wants to quit. The hardliners don't think she has pushed hard enough for Independence, and the old perv is going to make a comeback.

Great really.......

Don't know whether this is good news or not, but is sounds like good news.

"Boris Johnson does not have pneumonia, Downing Street has said. Until now ministers and No 10 have refused to give a clear answer to this question. But asked if the PM has been diagnosed with pneumonia, the PM’s spokesman said: “That is not the case, no.”

One bonus of this is watching the MSM News trying to push for news from doctors about the lack of PPE and ventilators and not getting the answers they want. It's good watching them squirm I get the impression they can't wait for 14:00 for the figures so they can gloat about how poorly our country are doing compared to others. These are people's lives and should not be glorified into league tables.

What is it with Labour supporters, is it the lack of intellect, so the only retort is abuse. Or is it just downright hatred ?

Social media allows the bitter and twisted to be themselves, as they are faceless at the time. But of course it's the same media that will bring there downfall.........

I find people who have empowered a Government that have done such damage to the NHS, resulting in such loss of life, taking the moral high ground to be, in equal parts hilarious, sad and sickening. If you want to do the right thing by all the sick people in the country and by the doctors and nurses who are saving lives vote for a political party that will support the health service.

I dont recall me voting to destroy the NHS-it needs proper management of course and probably more money.Hence why I have repeatedly stated on here that it should be depoliticised and run by an independent non political board with access to cash. You simply cannot run an organisation with this kind of turnover with a change in direction every 4/5 years.Nor can it be used like a political football-even now,I’m sure Labour is sharpening their arrows for example.

I personally don’t believe the world is currently set up to manage a pandemic like this-it’s too connected in terms of spreading it and it’s consequences, too fragmented in how it controls it.

Let’s hope the Queen’s magnificent speech and Boris’ illness bring the country back from the brink of the bitter collapse over the last few years.

As I said to someone else who highlighted the quality of the German health system, if you want a set-up like that, you'd better be prepared to pay for private health insurance, the so called Krankenkasse system.

So having leaders who are completely untrustworthy is bad for business? Who would have thought? How is the nations greatest hero since Winston Churchill? Still got the sniffles? Poor wee lamb.

We'll have to wait and see what happens with supply. If China gets back to work first they will be best placed to satisfy the surge in demand so it could strengthen their hand. On the other hands all supply contracts have been torn up so opportunities for local companies to win back contracts are there. Certainly concern in the States that this is helping China. Definite win for South Korea, no lock down there so the order books are full for months

Once we get out of this, whenever that may be, there will be change within the way we fund the NHS.

Those words ' we can learn allot from the Germans ' were not said off the cuff.

The finances of our Country and being decimated, way beyond a quick fix.

One of the things we will struggle to fund anywhere close to the same level is the NHS, so maybe a two-tier system like the Krauts is the alternative.

Basic healthcare for everyone, and basic+ for those who choose to pay extra, like first and second class. All coming from the same hospitals, doctors nurses etc.

There is no doubt our NHS carers are good, however our system is burdened with red-tape policy and procedure, which creates a black-hole where much of our hard earned tax money falls through.

Maybe this is the catalyst for change we have needed for decades.

Britain could be worst coronavirus-hit nation in Europe with 66,000 deaths in the first wave of the outbreak – three times Italy’s expected toll - because of the NHS's shortage of hospital beds and intensive care capacity, warn scientists

From the Daily Mail (shoot me now, yuk). So big shout out to all the people who voted for the party that cut hospital beds by 17000, thanks guys! Nations biggest hero since Winston Churchill.

I hope things will be learnt, particularly with regard to the NHS, but not too sure a two tier NHS is the answer, after all we already have a private healthcare service for those who are able to pay for it. I have no problem with that, just so long as the NHS has the funding it needs, exactly where it needs it on the shop floor and not going straight into the pockets of chief executives and their legions of minions.
It needs a bloody good shake up and the first thing that needs to happen is that it ceases to be used as a political football.

An NHS that isn't a political football will be a start. The first word of NHS is key here, National. The trust model seems floored to me as standards across the country seem far from consistent. We will all be paying more tax after this crisis but, we should have been paying more anyway. Think about it, every election time we are bribed by tax cuts, they all do it but, in the end, as someone else said, you get what you pay for.

I can tell you now a Marko that UK manufacturers are already pulling in offshore supply chains-the pressing business I sold 4 years ago is flying and that’s in the automotive sector

This virus proves an extended supply chain with just in time stocking doesn’t work at the extreme. This is good for the UK economy in the medium term.

Buy cheap, buy twice-never been more relevant.

As for you constant rants about Boris, you are looking very out of touch with the mood in the country.Did you find the Queen’s message offensive too?

The evidence is clear, the most expensive health-care system in the World per capita (by a mile) is the Yanks, it is also the worst for Mr Average man and women.

We are one of the 21 Countries in the World, that spend over $3,000 per capita/pa on healthcare at $4250, the yanks are $10,200

Since the figures were produced, (2017) we have increased our figure.

Most other Countries have a two-tier system, as we do, but National and Private are divorced (even though we use the same Doctors/Scanners/Wards at times). Other Countries have a two tier system using the same resources, just those that pay a bit extra get slightly better service.

Our over polticising see's hair brained schemes like positions being made redundant then the person re-employed as something else, early retirement, then becoming ' Consultants ' agency staff making up a big percentage of the workforce. PFI's !!!

The NHS should be a World leader, but it's not, we are far from the top-ten in the World.

The last few weeks has shown how dependent we all are, but we should all support the changes needed to bring us into the 21st Century.
