It does matter Mark everyone should be doing local exercise and no more.

It's hard but that's it the reason it's quiet is because most people are doing their bit.

I dont see the problem doing a bit more than an hour if riding solo away in the sticks.. the advice i read is to try stay locally.

The clear advice, having read it again, is cycle locally and be sensible. For obvious reasons.Staying fit and sane is what all of us should be doing.

I respect you a lot Alan but on this occasion I cannot find anything about one hour etc.I live in the hills behind Corbridge and local for me is Stanhope/Blanchland etc.I also do not think ‘doing my bit’ involves confined to Barracks-that may come from Boris in the next few days but at the moment, we are being encouraged to exercise-cycling one of the listed ones, I assume because it’s possible to do in isolation. For what it’s worth, our Club suspended club rides two weeks ago for obvious reasons.

Based on what I have learned today,I will not be going to Bellingham-it’s not local so clearly not right.Thank you for pointing that out.

If the government are guilty of anything during this crisis it is in assuming that everyone will use their common sense.
Plainly from some of the news coverage there are those that are seriously lacking in this respect.

I dont walk them several times, just once a day over by pier for 5-10 minutes, they need to go outside do their stuff on another old patch of grass by me the rest of the day but again other people are doing the same with dogs so its all about observing beforehand. I am sure there are others which have no garden will be doing the same thing..dogs need a place to do their thing.

If i know i am not cycling outdoors i would naturally take a longer walk with them. Thats how it will work for me.

The cyclists on here should buy a cheap exercise bike, strap their mobile phones to the handlebars, and then for a moderate £50 fee I'll phone you up and shout "Come on peloton! Step it up!" while you're pedalling, which will still save you 3 grand on the actual peloton bollox
