When he 'chose' to go back to Liverpool to his U23 set up instead of extending his loan deal with us told me everything I needed to know about him.

Great game against Crewe but after that shocker against Stevenage with two errors he seemed not to like proper football.

Both Sweeney (Mansfield) and O’Nein (Sunderland) have had their red cards from the weekend overturned - Sunderland have had 4 overturned in less than a year now (2 from the same ref).

The panel obviously watched both incidents and saw that the alleged perpetrator didn’t strike the other player in the face in either incident therefore overturned both decisions.

With this in mind why haven’t both ‘victims’ been dealt with as they both went down holding their faces even though they hadn’t been hit in the face? Bamford of Leeds got a 2 match ban for doing exactly this against Villa last season so the authorities have shown that punishing the cheat is a realistic option.

Also I wonder if they have asked for the referees view of events given the decisions. The referees have obviously guessed what happened as opposed to actually seeing the incident clearly.

Adam Campbell scored for Darlo last night against Blyth. David Atkinson subbed after 16 minutes.

Darren Holloway is their new assistant manager and the legendary David Currie was their guest of honour last night.

Lee Clarke's Blyth Spartans still bottom of the league - 1 point from 8 games. :-D

Spent many a happy time in both Grantham and Matlock, had girlfriends who lived in these places (different times) great days.

Matlock was full of young goths who frequented that pub half way down that massive hill but they were too social when I chatted to them so they must have been phoneys :)

"Gerrard, who signed for the Spireites in the summer, was one of the players fans blamed for a recent dismal record that saw them slip out of the Football League"

Erm someone should tell the journalist and the fans that Anthony Gerrard was actually an Oldham player when Chesterfield went out of the league - he hadn't even joined Carlisle United yet :D

Always been accident-prone in one form or another Keogh - great player for us and at that level but he's always had a ****-up in him, whether it's a crucial error, own goal, clumsily conceded penalty or something like this.
