What do we think, will he be the subject of a bid in January?
If so whats he worth, what would he go for?
I'll start
1. Yes
2. Worth - 1m
3. Sell 250k with sell on clauses
The level of team supposedly keeping tabs on him, we’re talking top end PL, they can start at £5m then we’ll talk.
I’m serious too...
Club should`nt let him go for less than 500k plus add on`s.
For a 17 year old playing in a poor team he has done amazingly well. The potential is obvious. He is under contract beyond the end of the season (I think) so that should add to his value. Let the bidding war commence.
Heard last week Liverpool are after Branthwaite and have been given first refusal .

Similar deal to us getting first refusal on those Leeds juniors

Me too. I'm fed up of seeing the likes of Exeter, Peterborough and others get millions for their young players while our board think they are doing a great job by selling off ours for low 6 figure fees after hardly any games.
If clubs don't think he's worth millions now, keep him and develop him in the first team until someone does value him at that.
Of course I fully expect him to be sold in january for an undisclosed rumoured 250k after just a handful of appearances for us. It's what we do.
Can’t say I’ve been overly impressed with him the couple of times I’ve seen him, yes he’s an improvement on what was there before but considering how bad our defence was that’s no great shakes.
Wasn’t really tested first half against Northampton but made two big mistakes in their opening goal and looked quite uncomfortable from there on. Against Orient he didn’t seem to understand his role in a back 5 and struggled badly before being hooked at half-time, perhaps not his fault but he didn’t look great.
Early days I suppose but talk of million pound moves is a tad premature.

I’ve heard first hand the man who deals with our transfers rates branthwaite higher than Harry maguire at the same age and is after serious money for him
The Ethan Ampadu fee is the yardstick here.
So "a fee worth £2.5 million".
Ampadu only played a handful of times for Exeter, potentially Branthwaite will have more first team appearances by January than Ampadu managed in his career at Exeter.

Frank have you paid attention to league 2 transfers for the last few years ,17/18 year olds who's never player a game are fetching close to £1million , It's not regarded as pocket change.

Ampadu was already in the full Wales squad by the time he left Exeter, he’d represented country’s at every age group before that.
And what about Curle? Oh hang on he didn’t even want any of the youth team training with the first team did he, I remember talking to Edmondson and asking if there were any promising players up and coming, and he replied what’s the point it doesn’t matter anyway he won’t play them.
Whatever happens to him a sell on clause is essential

Who would you have played, from the youth team, that Curle had access too?

Aye, we want our 20% when Spurs sell him to Real Madrid for £125m...

I’m not Darren Edmondson mullen, the fact is he didn’t want them around and said so, I’m sure you’ll have heard the one about a well known homegrown player who got his agent to ring the club and enquire about a player from the youth team, to be told you can have anyone of them he’s not interested in them.
I think I would rather leave that to the experts, and how do you know they’re not good enough if they are never given a chance?
