Looks like the wheels have fallen off after their promotion high. I’m sure Steven Presley would love to see if he could find some greenshoots at barrow

What exactly were they expecting? To piss the league?

Poor decision in my view

It was a poor decision to give him the job given his track record. He's done a fabulous job so far in trying to ensure their quick return to the NL.

Not really surprising if the way they played against us was anything to go by.

Them Southend, Bradford and Stevenage are some of the worst sides I’ve ever seen in L2.

Southend are already as good as down, clubs beginning to fear being the club that finishes 2nd bottom. No shock to see changes being made in the hope that a new manager will be able to bring in a bit of quality in January.

Just makes a change for it not to be Carlisle having the panic!

McCall got an extended contract at Bradford 3 weeks ago!

Dunn getting sacked doesn’t surprise me given the knee jerk nature of running a football club these days. It was the board who appointed him so why not stick with him and give him time?

Would be a great appointment and would instantly move them from relegation candidates to relegation certainties.

I think the board has panicked and acted too quick he wasn't given enough time, with all the messing about confirming if Barrow would be promoted then losing Evatt, any manager coming in should have been given till the January window to pull together their own team.

Southend are probably already gone, financially or playing wise and Stevenage are on borrowed time. So no real need to pull the pin so soon.

They have delusions of grandeur.

Let's be honest, for a village club like Barrow, 21st in tier four is a success. 22nd would also be a success for them.

They were only promoted in the first place because of Covid, who knows what may have happened if they'd finished their season?

Anyway, they should enjoy their season in the sun, sacking their manager at this juncture is suicide for them.

Dunn was a poor appointment - apparently they didn’t interview anyone else when he got the job.

Would rather see them stay up than the likes of Stevenage.

Jim Bentley would be ideal if safety is their only priority. He done it enough with Morecambe.

But that Fylde chairman is an awkward bugger so that would be unlikely unless Barrow paid big compo which is also unlikely.

Jim Bentley has been away from Fylde for a while for health reasons, He had a heart bypass operation earlier in December, so doubt, no matter how awkward the chairman is, he will be going anywhere soon

From personal experience - he won't be allowed back to work until at least twelve weeks after the operation. That's assuming all goes well with his recovery.

Poor Barrow, you wait nearly 50 years to get back into the league and now they are likely to be back in the Conference without most of the fans actually seeing a League game.

Get Curle in, knows Brough, Jones and Devitt well, not sure if Jones is crocked or not though.

Shame but it is going to be hard for them to stay up now whoever they bring in, I could see this sacking coming however as the commentator's were extremely critical of him yesterday to the point of stopping short of saying 'he doesn't know what he is doing', thought he might get a few more games mind you.

He's a strange one Jolley. Very highly qualified coach but maybe doesn't quite manage to get the respect of the players perhaps because of his background. Who knows?

His two recent managerial posts were at clubs who are now rock bottom of the EFL which doesn't look too good on the old CV.

Although you couldn't really say he had the time needed at Barrow. :D
